Kiss Me: 5 Lipsticks for Summer!

True story: I used to think only grown ups wore lipstick... either I'm officially a grown up or I was wrong! Let's go with the latter. When it comes to getting comfortable with lipstick, I have my girl Steph  and a very successful Clinique counter experience  to thank. Until last year all I wore was nude gloss (you guys, I'm 30!) and now I'm obsessed with trying out lots of different hues ranging from glossy to matte and everything in between; it's so fun!

You know who's not in to this fun new lipstick phase? The BF. Boys don't get it!

Here are a few of my current faves with deets below about why I'm so into them:
And btw, this post is not sponsored. I've been using all of these for the past few months and seriously love!

pixi mattelustre lipstick: I picked this up during a Target run to wear in a previous beauty post and it's honestly a great stepping stone to truly matte lipstick. "Mattelustre" goes on like a regular lipstick and is super moisturizing but it has a matte look after it settles. These styles are pretty pigmented but they don't feel too heavy, so I have a few scattered between my work bag and purse that I reach for all the time!

clinique pop lacquer: Clinique sent a few to me earlier this year but I didn't really fall in love until after  my underwater photo-shoot when I put on the 'happy pop' color. The color is the perfect orange -red combo. I wouldn't say coral because it's more red than that but it's perfect for warm summer nights and totally makes a tan glow.

l'oreal paris infallible pro-matte gloss: Now this is a true matte. It feels so interesting when you put it on, like you're softly wiping a bed sheet over your lips. The matte and the darker color are definitely different for me (I wore it  in this recent post) but I really like 'em.

bare minerals buttercream lipgloss: This literally feels like buttercream on your lips. The moody berry has been a fave night-out color for awhile. It's very dramatic but not too serious because it has the gloss.

buxom full-on lip cream: Talk about a gloss that I have in every crevice of my house, all my purses, and at my desk. Buxom did a great job with these because they're super lightweight and they actually make your lips look fuller (definitely some tingle action). If you're looking for a new gloss I would suggest the lip cream.

What are some of your fave lipsticks? Has anyone tried the Kylie lipkits? Are they worth it? Over the weekend I tested out Stila's Stay All Day Lipstick in fiery and fell in love. The matte color lasted literally all night and through the AM ... yup, fell asleep in my makeup... oops!
