Trending: Layering Necklaces

Have you guys noticed that everyone and their mom is wearing ALL the layered necklaces these days? It kind of makes me feel old because I definitely remember that trend happening 5 yrs ago... and now, here we are. I've had a few DM's about where to find these necklaces and also tips on finding the right lengths, so I put together a few of my favorites. The truth is you really only need 2 or 3 necklaces that you can wear over and over. I've been wearing the same two on repeat for months! Keep scrolling for my faves and a few tips for buying + styling.

The two necklaces I've been wearing are this Five + Two layered necklace (which is actually one necklace with two strands - woo hoo!) and this coin necklace from Charme Silkiner on repeat. Together they look like three layered necklaces and the coin kind of anchors it.

When it comes to finding lengths that will compliment each other you can get super mathematical and compare lengths before you buy them OR just make sure the necklaces you buy say "adjustable" / "extender" because this means you can adjust the length. That way you can buy the necklaces you love (to wear together and separately) and have the options to adjust how they sit.

If you're worried about your necklaces getting tangled I suggest finding necklaces with different weights. Pairing a ton of really thin, lightweight chains is destined to become tangle town USA. Try to find one that will really anchor the look ie: a heavy chain or a medallion of sort then pair it with one or two lighter chains.  The reason I LOVE this  Five + Two layered necklace is because it looks like two necklaces but only has one clasp which prevents it from tangling with itself.

Hope this helps! xo - Ashley
