My Daily Makeup Routine: 7 minutes and 7 Tried + True Products

Over the weekend I shared my daily makeup routine on IG story (peep the beauty highlight). Many of you requested a round-up of the products and brushes, so here we are. Ask and you shall receive!

When it comes to daily makeup I like to keep it simple using a few key products- most I’ve vetted for years. I have pretty oily skin (see my daily skincare routine here) and decided in my early 20s that I was over mattifying products. I mean, does anyone actually think they work? Hah! Anywho, I’ve embraced the glow and these are my go-to products:

Everyday Pursuits Go-To Makeup

Smashbox BB Cream - gives skin a glowing, ethereal look and provides a hydrating veil for the complexion to maintain moisture on the surface of the skin while controlling shine without leaving behind a chalky finish. Before their BB cream, I was a Smashbox Tinted Moisturizer girl. That was discontinued and I’ve been using the BB cream ever since. It goes on so seamlessly and just feels amazing on the skin. I’ve probably been using for over 6+ years. For my brown babes, their formulas gives a warm finish vs. other brands that always end up looking chalky. Huge plus: SPF 35.

Sephora Gel Concealer - if you’re a Tarte Shape Tape fan, I double dare you to try this. I feel like it gives the same exact coverage but the formula on the Sephora one is 100% better in terms of how it sets into fine lines. There is something about the gel serum that covers and brightens that I just love! Not to mentions it’s under $15. They recently discontinued my color so I bought 10 tubes haha.

Clinque Chubby Stick - fave contour stick on the planet. I definitely suggest watching my tutorial on IG stories to see how I use it. The stick itself lasts forever. I think I’ve gone through 2 sticks in 4 years and use it every time I do my makeup. Winning!

Tarte GLOW Highlighter Palette - Tarte sent this to me sometime last spring and I fell hard! I mostly use the “FIRE” color but sometimes alternate between others in the palette.

NARS Orgasm Blush - not something I use daily but when I blush, i always use orgasm!

Tarte Filtered Light Setting Powder - one of those products that I PRAY they never discontinue. It’s a weightless, makeup setting and baking powder with tiny, light-reflecting particles that blur the look of pores and fine lines. Like I said, I’m all about the glow and this gives skin luminous dimension without adding sparkle.

Anastasia Brow Wiz - I use soft brown to pencil in most of my brows and love that it adds great shadow but not like a “hi, I’m drawing my eyebrows on.”

It Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil - Before I used the Anastasia Brow Wiz I used to only use this one. I realized it was a little too dark and switched to Anastasia. BUT my fave thing to do is use this to add a few brush strokes to my brows which gives them some depth.

Mascara: I have lash extensions, so don’t really have a tried and true mascara I love.

Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette - pretty much the only palette I use. Love the neutral tones and bronze, glowy hues.

Definitely don’t have one fave - you know your girl loves a good bold lip. Here are three formulas I’m loving right now.

BB Cream/ Foundation Brush - the one I use has been discontinued but I’ve used this one and like

Contour Brush - the best!!

Fan Brush - use for blush and highlighter

Setting Powder Brush
