Above is one of the many inspiring quotes that came out of last Sunday's Simply Stylist NY event. If you've never heard of Simply Stylist, they hold events around the country connecting those interested in fashion, styling and beauty with experts in the industry; think panels, breakout sessions, and networking over cocktails. Simply Stylist was the reason I took my short trip to NY - I was SO honored to speak in a breakout session about the Style of Social Media. Many of you know that my full time job is in social media and it's really my passion (ie: I read Mashable & TechCrunch for fun). The reason I chose Laurel's quote to open this post is because it really hit home for me. More on that in my upcoming Career Contessa interview!
Now to the fun stuff... what did I wear? Since it was pretty chilly in NY I opted for this amaze long sleeve Parker dress:
It was such a busy day that I wasn't able to get too many great shots of this lovely, but believe me, she is a crowd pleaser! There are so many things to love about her: the flattering black line details, textured print, and thick material that's perfect for fall & winter (throw on some tights). A few of you pursuing the Zara heels questions their comfort level and the answer is YES, they are beyond comfy... buy them!
