Showing a Little Skin

Is it seriously Monday already? Oh weekends, you are just too good! On Saturday I had the pleasure of speaking about Social Media at Simply Stylist LA. It was an amazing day filled with inspiring ladies, fabulous fashionistas and tons of networking. Since the event was partially outdoors (at the Grove) and LA has decided it's summer already, I opted for a crop top & skirt ensemble:
crop top skirt outfit
nordstrom crop top
crop top floral skirt nude heels
nordstrom crop top sole society bag
revolveclothing skirt nordstrom crop top
zara basic heels
{friend of mine skirt // nordstrom crop top  - similar // capwell chain bracelet c/o // sole society bag - on sale!  // zara heels}

The problem with having an event at a shopping mall is that some people (i.e. me) don't have the self control to go all day without #pursuingshoes. Yup, I totally went to Zara mid-event to trade in my basic nude heels  for the updated 2014 version! The biggest differences in this year's nude sandal is that it has a thicker heel and wider ankle strap. This means they're more comfortable than they were last season! #winning If you're looking to pursue, they fit true to size.

Cop tops. Crop tops have been on the up and up over the past year, and as the weather gets warmer I have a feeling it's going to become crop top city. While I have yet to become a professional crop top wearer, so far I'm in to pairing them with high-waisted bottoms (a la Bebe) to show just a little bit of skin. I also like that this piece has a bit of texture. Pursuit tip: if you're taking photos do not angle from above or you'll get a linebacker look!
