Weekend Warrior: Summer Done Right
We take summer very seriously around these parts. And by "we" I mean anyone who I drag along with me to the beach, pool or other outdoor excursions. It's safe to say I like to have some fun in the sun, so summer is my fave time of the year (besides Christmas)! This weekend was one of those "wow, it really feels like summer" weekends...
Ever since the move to Venice, the boy and I have been enjoying morning beach walks and bike rides. On Saturday we switched it up with a little beach basketball and not to brag or anything, I gave him a run for his money when we played H.O.R.S.E. After a well deserved pancake breakfast, I headed to Nordstrom to pursue some shoes at the #NSALE -- yup, picked up the Sam Edelman pair I posted about last week because they're just too fabulous. Thinking of getting the grey, too! If you happen to pursue they fit true to size and are SO comfy.
Later in the day I headed to the REVOLVE x Just Jared event in Malibu which was absolutely gorgeous. The weather had been acting up earlier in the day and everyone was a little nervous that it might rain on our outdoor dinner, but the clouds cleared and we ended having the most incredible sunset and even saw a few dolphins! Of course, as soon as the party kicked off the photo booth went popping. I hope we never tire of a good photo booth opp.
Sunday was indulgent to say the least. In-n-Out + Ice Cream Lab = the perfect Sunday. I mean, it was #nationalicecreamday or as the bf would call it "Alice Cream Day." If you live in LA or happen to be planning a visit, you MUST stop by Ice Cream Lab for the most delectable and freshest ice cream you'll ever have; my go-to is "salt lick crunch." Let's just say that I plan to eat and bronze my way through the summer. Hope your weekend was fab!
