Travel Diary: Dallas (Food Edition)

Vacation stomach: the increase in stomach size related to over eating when one has spent time away from home or traveling.

Guys, vacay stomach is REAL and recovering is the worst part. As I mentioned last week I recently did a 9 day travel sesh in the midwest and let's just say the amount of food (and wine) consumed was ridiculous. #whatcoachelladiet

I love traveling to new places and experiencing the food culture; Dallas was definitely my favorite foodie stop on the trip. If you're planning a visit you must hit these spots:

Dallas places to eat, Bask Boutique, Dallas Shopping, Dallas Travel Diary

The Porch: hands down the best burrata spread I've ever had in my life. Not to mention they have grub-worthy mac & cheese and short rib tacos. This is such a cute date spot with a fab patio!

HG Supply Company: you know a place is good when go to the kitchen and tell the chef to open a spot in LA! They have delicious bowls filled with meats and veggies (first pic) - actually one of the more healthy places we ate. The atmosphere is also great with a cutesy patio and rooftop. I've heard happy hour at HG Supply is also a must-try.

Dive: another spot with great short rib tacos! My friend Emily from The Stylist LA had an ahi tuna wrap and said it was to-die-for. This is a great spot for fun seafood dishes.

Crisp Salad Company: and after all that indulgent meals you'll need a salad, so go to Crisp Salad. It's along the lines of many of the make-your-own-salad places but something about their ingredients is standout; it's like Wholefoods meets Simply Salad.

Bask Boutique: this isn't a restaurant (obvi) but an adorable boutique in Snider Plaza that has swim, lingerie, and flirty playsuits. I may have left with a romper or two!

Have you been to the big D? I'd love to know some of your favorite eats because I'm headed back there at the end of this month. Permanent vacation stomach here I come.
