Casual Sunday Vibes

Never underestimate the power of basics! As I my style evolves, I find that it's turning into a lot of basics with a hint of fashion pieces here and there (ex here). Do you guys feel the same way? I attribute it to the fact that life is only getting busier and the "free-time" that once was abundant (ie: early 20s), is no longer. When you can count on rotating closet staples and basics, it makes getting dressed way less time consuming, plus you don't have to give up looking good. Best of both worlds, am I right? Enter two of my spring staples: the denim jacket + tennis shoes

Let's talk about these sneakers: they literally feel like air and are the comfiest things ever. I wear them A LOT (snapchat tells all) and I'm not sorry about it! They're perfect for casual work environments and everyday outfits; I've worn them with everything from skirts and flowy dresses to jeans and denim shorts.

Speaking of denim, I'm all about the denim jacket right now; think a bit oversized (not cropped), very 90s. Like chambray shirts, denim jackets make for the perfect spring layering piece. Just throw one in your back seat and I guarantee you'll thank me! You guys, the 90s are back and I'm not mad at it. On Saturday night my friends and I had a sleepover and watched Clueless. Wine + Clueless, is there anything better?
