Local Guide: Westside + Southbay

There's really never a weekend when I'm not  #pursuingLA - after 30 years here, there are still so many hidden gems I have yet to uncover! Now that I've lived on the Westside for almost two years, it's safe to say I've gotten to know the area pretty well, so I thought it was time for another Local Guide.  If you're traveling to LA (or a local looking for some new spots) checkout my faves below:

Rose Cafe Venice, Where to eat in Venice, Loeffler Randall Flats
(Rose Cafe avocado toast + eggs)

Rose Cafe: a great brunch and work spot in Venice. I find myself spending hours at Rose Cafe eating, drinking, and catching up on my e-mails between meetings.

Gjusta: the most delicious bakery, deli, and cafe founded by genius minds behind Gjelina. My LA friends and I will rent bikes and stop there before exploring the Venice Canals!

Juice Served Here:  when you live in LA you just become a "juice" person - JSH is my favorite of the bunch and their Venice location is perfectly central to everything on the Westside.

MB Post in MB: there are no words to describe all the deliciousness coming out of MB Post. It's a great place for brunch, happy hour, dinner - everything! The cocktails and food are on point and it's right in the heard of everything happening in Manhattan Beach.

Playa Provisions: the best thing to happen to Play Del Rey, like, ever. It's technically made of up four spaces that include a sit-down restaurant, whiskey bar, ice cream spot, and just casual hangout spot. They have the most ridiculously delicious seafood. My fave: the crab cake pops. This is definitely a place to go to with friends as there's so much on the menu you'll want to try all of it.

Paradise Bowls: hands down the best acai bowls you've ever experienced, even better because it's located one block from the beach.

The Point: is one of my new faves! It's a one stop destination for shopping, eating, and working out in El Segundo/Manhattan that's actual semi-close to the airport. Def a place to stop at if you ever have a few hours to kill before flying out of LAX.  If you happen to go definitely checkout try Superba Food + Bread which has a plethora of yummy baked goods and unique farm to table food options.

Studio MDR: you guys, I'm OBSESSED with this place. I never thought I'd say this but I look forward to pilates classes at Studio MDR; definitely one of my fitness tips for a bikini ready body.

Flowerboy: this is the coolest coffee spot meets flower store meets boutique. It's one of those places that makes you feel cool just from being inside - hah! Check out their insta to see what I mean.

Venice Canals: I love to go to brunch or grab a juice at JSH then take a walk through the Venice Canals; they're truly a hidden gem on the Westside.
