#Pursuing30: It's all in the Details
When it comes to party planning, it's safe to say I have a love/hate relationship. I tend to have these grandiose ideas that will be a pain in the butt to execute, but in my mind they're must-haves to make the event a success. Please tell me I'm not the only one?
Anywho, for #pursuing30 there were many large and small details - today I'm talking about the little guys that made a big punch!
1. painted pineapples: painted pineapples have been my jam for awhile now (see tutorial here) and this time around I wanted to change it up a bit, so we went with mini pineapples. Aren't they cute? One thing to note with the minis is that they don't have the shelf life like their bigger sisters. These babies will only live for max 3 days before they get mushy and start smelling like a pina colada. Pineapples in general are a good substitute for flowers which can get really spendy and end up wilting outside.
2. BoxFox guest gifts: I wanted to thank my guests for spending the weekend with me. To do that I turned to BoxFox to create these amazing custom boxes. If you think the name sounds familiar, it's because I did custom ones for my besties bachelorette party. The BoxFox team is fantastic and can help you curate anything for any type of occasion. I basically shared my party planning pinterest board and let them know my budget and they ran with it. We ended up with a super cute desert inspired box with succulents, festive gold pineapple shaker, notepad, dominos, and Palm Springs drink stirrers. Needless to say, the boxes were a hit and everyone got to go home with something to remember the weekend by (other than IG photos)!
3. beads: who knew we were all 30ish going on 6 - hah - everyone really loved some DIY bracelet action! When you're sitting around having a boozy pool party, activities are a must, and allowing people to do their own thing with the beads is a great individual/group activity.
