The 411 on Brandless Beauty
Over the past few weeks I've been trying out some beauty products from Brandless. You may have seen me share on IG stories the big box of goodies I had delivered to my hotel in Miami (always working!) Have you guys ever heard of Brandless? This was my first interaction with the brand and I'm super impressed with both their products and the ethos behind their "brand" or non-brand that is - hah!
- Brandless clean beauty has been uniquely formulated against a 400 banned ingredient list to ensure potentially harmful ingredients like parabens, sulfates and phthalates are never found in Brandless products.
- They are 100% against animal testing so all products are certified Cruelty-Free.
- Every product on the site (not just beauty) is $3.
- Every time you check out, they donate a meal to Feeding America. So that while you fill your shelves, you're helping someone in need do the same.
You know me, I'm not one to overhaul my skincare regimen all at once as I like to introduce things slowly to make sure I don't have any issues especially as related to my acne prone skin. Therefore I tried the following:
Facial Cleanser - this is a very gentle cleanser that is grapefruit scented and lathers up really nicely. I will definitely continue to use this as it didn't make me break out (yay!) and didn't strip the oils from my skin. Also, for the record, my skin has been pretty clear and smooth for the last 3 weeks which is pretty rare for me when a lot of travel is involved. (Planes are the worst!) I can't 100% chalk it up to this cleanser but I think it's probably a combo of this cleanser, drinking insane amounts of water while I was in Miami + Costa Rica, and the clean air in both of those locations.
Hand Cream - I'm the kind of girl who has hand creams in every corner of the house... always screaming to Andy "moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!". This one has a lemon scent (in a good way) and is super moisturizing. I also like how it doesn't leave a greasy feeling which is the WORSt especially when you're on your computer!
Body Butter - it's safe to say I've had my fair share of sun the past few weeks. I usually opt for straight coconut oil when I need some post-sun relief, however, I swapped that out for this body butter which has coconut water in it. Super impressed with how hydrated and smooth my skin was. Andy even said the other day "I feel like you're smoother than normal!" #WINNING
Night Cream - although I didn't personally try this (only 1 face product change at a time), I did put this on Andy while we were in Miami. He went golfing and stupidly didn't wear sunscreen so his face was SO burnt. I applied this at night and he woke up the next morning super hydrated and way less red.
I'm really excited to continue to try the other products. I mean, between the price point and the fact that they are so CLEAN... it's pretty incredible. Have you guys tried any of their other home or food products? V interested in them now!
